There seems to be some confusion due to the fact that there is a second company who uses a similar name as mine. My purpose in writing this is not to berate the other company, but for you to know exactly who you are hiring.
Above is an image of mine and the other company's business cards. Their actual business name is somewhat ambiguous as they appear to have two names - it is either PROFESSIONAL BUILDING REPORTS LTD., or West Coast Inspection Services Ltd... I'm not sure which.
They are not WEST COAST HOME INSPECTIONS, which is my company.
As of April 1st 2009, ALL Home Inspectors in the province of BC were required to be licensed!
It reads "certified journeymen" on the business card, which refers to the individual trade(s) that the inspectors have backgrounds in. In other words, while one may be certified as an carpenter, they are not a licensed HOME INSPECTION company.
I'm not trying to discredit them. What I am saying is that this company is not mine, and that it is not licensed to perform Home Inspections, which is a legal requirement in this province.
I hope this alleviates some of the confusion.
